About Me

I have been designing Web sites since 2003 and I began my journalism career in 2007.

Before that, I was a full-time filmmaker for more than a decade and have also worked as a publicist, screenplay and manuscript editor, writing workshop instructor and presenter on writing panels.

As a journalist, I am a regular contributor to Hersam Acorn newspapers in Connecticut and Edible Nutmeg magazine.

The newspapers I have written for include: Easton Courier, Fairfield Sun, Connecticut Post, Greenwich Post, Weston Forum, Redding Pilot, Monroe Courier, Trumbull Times and The Fairfield-Citizen News. I have also blogged for the Connecticut Post.

In January 2010, I began my blog, A Return to Simple @ thefarmingjournalist.com.

In March 2011, I won a Connecticut Agricultural Journalism Award for best feature story in a weekly newspaper.
